• ಸಮಕಾಲಿಕ (Synchronous) ಕಲಿಕೆ ಎಂದರೆ ನೇರ ಪ್ರಸಾರದ ತರಗತಿಯಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದು. | Synchronous learning means everyone is present at the same time, as in a live class.
• ಅಸಮಕಾಲಿಕ (Asynchronous) ಕಲಿಕೆ ಎಂದರೆ ಧ್ವನಿಮುದ್ರಿತ ವಿಡಿಯೋ ಮತ್ತು ಚರ್ಚಾ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಂತೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿಯುವುದು. | Asynchronous learning means learning at one own time, as with recorded videos and discussion forums.
• ಮಿಶ್ರ ಕಲಿಕೆ (Blended Learning) ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್ ಎರಡನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. | Blended learning combines face-to-face and online learning.

ಮೂಕ್ಸ್ | MOOCs

ಮೂಕ್ (MOOC) ಎಂದರೆ ಮ್ಯಾಸಿವ್ ಓಪನ್ ಆನ್‌ಲೈನ್ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ (Massive Open Online Course). | MOOC stands for Massive Open Online Course.

• 2008 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ಸೀಮೆನ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಟೀಫನ್ ಡೌನ್ಸ್ ಅವರ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ವಿವರಿಸಲು ಡೇವ್ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಯರ್ (Dave Cormier) ಈ ಪದ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದರು. | Dave Cormier coined the term in 2008 to describe a course by George Siemens and Stephen Downes.
• ಸಂಪರ್ಕವಾದ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗಳು ಸಿ-ಮೂಕ್ (cMOOC) ಮತ್ತು ವಿಸ್ತೃತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಮಾದರಿಯವು ಎಕ್ಸ್-ಮೂಕ್ (xMOOC). | Connectivist courses are cMOOCs and extended university-style courses are xMOOCs.

ಸ್ವಯಂ ಎಂದರೆ ಸ್ಟಡಿ ವೆಬ್ಸ್ ಆಫ್ ಆಕ್ಟಿವ್-ಲರ್ನಿಂಗ್ ಫಾರ್ ಯಂಗ್ ಆಸ್ಪೈರಿಂಗ್ ಮೈಂಡ್ಸ್ (Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds). | SWAYAM stands for Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds.

• ಇದನ್ನು 9 ಜುಲೈ 2017 ರಂದು ಭಾರತದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿಗಳು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. | It was launched by the President of India on 9 July 2017.
• ಒಂಬತ್ತನೇ ತರಗತಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಹಂತದವರೆಗಿನ ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗಳು ಉಚಿತ, ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಶುಲ್ಕ. | Courses from Class 9 to postgraduate level are free, with a fee only for the certificate exam.

ಯುಜಿಸಿ 2021 ರ ನಿಯಮಾವಳಿ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಒಂದು ಸೆಮಿಸ್ಟರ್‌ನ ಒಟ್ಟು ಕೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇಕಡಾ 40 ರವರೆಗೆ ಸ್ವಯಂ ಮೂಲಕ ಕ್ರೆಡಿಟ್ ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು. | Under the UGC Regulations of 2021, up to 40 per cent of the total courses in a semester can be credited through SWAYAM.

2016 ರ ಹಿಂದಿನ ನಿಯಮಾವಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮಿತಿ ಶೇಕಡಾ 20 ಆಗಿತ್ತು. | Under the earlier 2016 regulations this limit was 20 per cent.

ಸ್ವಯಂ ಪ್ರಭಾ | SWAYAM Prabha

• ಇದು ಜಿಸ್ಯಾಟ್-15 (GSAT-15) ಉಪಗ್ರಹ ಬಳಸಿ ದಿನದ 24 ಗಂಟೆ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಪ್ರಸಾರ ಮಾಡುವ ಡಿಟಿಎಚ್ ಚಾನೆಲ್‌ಗಳ ಸಮೂಹ. | It is a group of DTH channels that telecast educational programmes 24 hours a day using the GSAT-15 satellite.
• ಇದು 2017 ರಲ್ಲಿ 32 ಚಾನೆಲ್‌ಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆರಂಭವಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ನಂತರ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. | It began in 2017 with 32 channels and was expanded later.

• ಗಾಂಧಿನಗರದ ಬಿಸಾಗ್-ಎನ್ (BISAG-N) ಅಪ್‌ಲಿಂಕ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಇನ್‌ಫ್ಲಿಬ್‌ನೆಟ್ (INFLIBNET) ಜಾಲತಾಣ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. | BISAG-N, Gandhinagar handles the uplink and INFLIBNET maintains the web portal.

• ಎನ್‌ಪಿಟಿಇಎಲ್ (NPTEL) ಐಐಟಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಐಐಎಸ್‌ಸಿ ಜಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ 2003 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ. | NPTEL is a programme started jointly by the IITs and IISc in 2003.
• ಇ-ಪಿಜಿ ಪಾಠಶಾಲಾ (e-PG Pathshala) ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಇ-ವಿಷಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಯುಜಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತು ಇನ್‌ಫ್ಲಿಬ್‌ನೆಟ್ ಉಪಕ್ರಮ. | e-PG Pathshala is a UGC and INFLIBNET initiative for postgraduate e-content.
• ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯವನ್ನು (NDLI) ಐಐಟಿ ಖರಗ್‌ಪುರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿದೆ. | The National Digital Library of India is developed by IIT Kharagpur.
